Reconstructive surgery:
War wounds are devastating, with extensive soft tissue and osseous destruction and heavy contamination. Casualties of war tend to not be treated immediately for reconstructive surgery due to additional injuries to the vital organs. This delay in their transfer to a tertiary care centre is responsible for progressive deterioration in wound conditions.
