     PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE
Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is an infection of the upper female genital tract, which includes the womb, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.
It’s often caused by a sexually transmitted infection (STI). PID can damage and scar the fallopian tubes, making it virtually impossible for an egg to travel down into the womb.
Problems Concerning the Uterus:
Some problems originate from the uterus such as shape of the uterus, leiomyomas (fibroids), polyps, scar tissue inside the endometrial cavity.
Shape of the Uterus: Sometimes there are problems occurring from the early periods of life inside the mother’s womb and a woman’s uterus might have an inappropriate shape to house a pregnancy.
Leiomyomas and polyps: These are benign masses inside the uterine muscle tissues or endometrial tissue.
Scar tissue inside the uterus: Prior operations and infections might have consequences such as scar tissue inside the uterus called adhesions. Both the amount of bleeding during the periods and capacity to conceive are less than normal.
Medicines and drugs: NSAIDs, chemotherapy, neuroleptic, medicines, spironolactone, Illegal drugs.
